PC Teardown WorkshopThe Cluster Computing Research Project originated in the College of Business.  It was initially a class project taken on by a group of 5 students in a System Analysis & Design class taught by Dr. Fred Kitchens.  Since, the project has become a whole class in and of itself -- CCRP.

Phase I of the project, in the Fall of 2001, was tremendous success, which resulted in a working model of a Beowulf-class system running the Linux operating system. Phase II, in the Spring of 2002, expanded the system, promoted community interest, began using the system for research.

Future phases of the project will involve software development and business partnerships.
